1 down 99 to go… A few days ago I finished A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris. I love the Sookie Stackhouse series. This book is a bunch of Sookie short stories that are all great. The link together some of the various books and are great quick reads. I would have to say the story about Dracula’s birthday is my favorite, and it has nothing to do with the fact that Eric is very present in it…. well maybe thats a lie… I found the Sookie Stackhouse series just over a year ago and I flew through all the books I could get my hands on and all of the ones that have come out since . The other short stories in this book are also very good and some fill in some gaps between some of the full length books in the series as well.

Charlaine Harris is an amazing writer in my opinion. I have read a few of her other series and loved them as well, but I wont go to far into them because I am sure they will end up on this crazy journey that I am on some time this year.

The HBO series True Blood that is loosely based on the Sookie series is actually pretty good. I wasn’t to crazy about this past season but I still loved it all the same. There are some changes, like keeping some amazing characters alive past the first book, that I love and some, like the entire MaryAnn thing, that were … well lets just say not so much my favorites.

The book I am reading now is Wolfsbane and Mistletoe and it actually has one of the shorts from A Touch of Dead in it. Which is amazing because it a good one where you get to see more of Sookie’s great-grandfather, who just happens to be a fey prince. I’ll let you know what I think of this new book as soon as I finish reading it. Which I hope to be soon if Jasper gives me the time…

Hello world!

Well… here goes…. I’ve been reading like a mad woman for the past few years, and I have been looking for something to do with all of these books that I have been reading. I saw that a friend had started a book blog and I thought that it was an amazing idea. Last year I decided that I wanted to set a goal to read 50 books. Well I flew past that with flying colors at closer to 100 books. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. There are a few reasons that it was so easy 1) I was pregnant and had to spend over a month on bed rest 2) we had no cable for most of the year and one can only watch the same movies so many time before insanity sets in…  All the while of reading all of these books, mostly of the urban fantasy/sci-fi nature, I kept wanting to write what I thought and now can and am so very happy about it…
